Alcott’s unarmed crisis response teams are responding to hundreds of incidents per month. As the only nonprofit organization with teams in both programs, Alcott is currently positioned as a leader in unarmed crisis response services in Los Angeles.

In Fiscal Year 24-25, Alcott’s unarmed crisis teams collectively responded to 4,500 diverted 911 incidents across 4+ LAPD districts.
April 2025
Alcott added an additional 24/7 unarmed crisis response program in partnership with the City of Los Angeles known as CIRCLE, serving as a service provider for the Mayor’s Office.
March 2025
One-year of providing unarmed crisis response services, UMCR has matured past its pilot season. Alcott’s UMCR teams are praised by community members and recognized by the City Council after witnessing the care, timeliness, and value provided by this much needed program.
